For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Thürkow, Blick auf die MTS Zentralbild Weiß Weiß-Qu 21.7.1956 MTS Thürkow ist für die Ernte gerüstet. Zu Beginn der Ernte in Mecklenburg führte die MTS Thürkow, Kreis Teterow, am 21. Juli 1956 eine Generalprobe ihrer Mähdrescher durch. Die letzte Kontrolle der Maschinen und Geräte wird der MTS - deren Mähdrescherbrigade im vorigen Jahr Republiksieger wurde - helfen, ihre eingegangenen Verpflichtungen zu erfüllen. Ihr Kampfplan sieht u.a. vor, die Getreidemahd bei voller Auslastung der Binder und Mähdrescher im Schnitt von 20 Tagen zu beenden. Laut Vertrag wird die MTS in diesem Jahr 3482 Hektar Getreide mähen. Die Mahd von 179 Hektar Raps ist nahezu abgeschlossen. UBz: Die Mähdrescherbrigade bei der Ausfahrt.
