Rostock, St. Michaeliskirche Zentralbild Löwe - Rostock 8.10.1956 Rostocker St. Michaeliskirche Am 1.10.1956 wurde eines der ältesten Baudenkmäler Rostocks, die St. Michaeliskirche feierlich eingeweiht. Mit einem Staatlichen Zuschuss von 35000 DM ist die 1942 von anglo-amerikanischen Terrorbombern zerstörte Kirche wieder aufgebaut worden. Das unter Denkmalschutz stehende Gebäude war vor etwa 500 Jahren von einer pietistischen Brüdergemeinde gebaut worden und hatte seit 1480 die erste deutsche Druckerei beherbergt.
