For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Liebertwolkwitz, Umbau eines Mähdreschers Zentralbild Weiß 1.9.1956 Sowjetische Maiskombine eingetroffen Eine wertvolle Hilfe bei unserer diesjährigen Maisernte werden die 44 Maiskombines Kü-2 A leisten, die jetzt aus der Sowjetunion eingetroffen sind. Die Maschinen sind eingerichtet für eine Reihenbreite von 70 cm und werden zur Zeit in verschiedenen Betrieben auf die in der DDR übliche Reihenbreite von 62,5 cm umgebaut. So erhielt die MTS-Spezialwerkstatt Liebertwolkwitz b. Leipzig am 30.8.1956 zwanzig Kombines zum Umbau. UBz: Die Kollegen der MTS-Spezialwerkstatt beim Umbau der Kombines.
