For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild-Junge-Sturm We-Qu 15.4.1957 Stahl- und Walzwerk Brandenburg Die Auseinandersetzungen des zweiten Weltkrieges gingen auch am Stahl- und Walzwerk Brandenburg nicht spurlos vorüber und ein großer Teil, vor allem die wichtigsten Anlagen dieses Werkes, lagen 1949 still. Bereits im ersten Fünfjahrplan wurde dieser Gigant unserer Volkswirtschaft wieder aufgebaut, so dass dieses Werk mit seinen 11 Siemens-Martin-Öfen, einer modernen Walzenstrasse sowie einer vollautomatischen Drahtstrasse heute das größte Werk seiner Art in der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik ist. Doch der Aufbau ist noch nicht restlos abgeschlossen. So werden im zweiten Fünfjahrplan zwei weitere Siemens-Martin-Öfen nd eine neue Walzenstrasse in Betrieb genommen. Die gesamten Anlagen werden in weitestgehendem Maße mechanisiert und automatisiert. UBz. Blick in den Hafen, der zum Stahl- und Walzwerk gehört. |
