Leipzig, Park von Markkleeberg, Gärtner Zentralbild Schmidt Weiß-Noa 19.6.1957 Achtung! Ausführliche Artikel in "Presseinformation" Nr. 68 vom 19. Juni 1957 Aus "Zaungästen" werden Besucher Der Park von Markkleeberg , der heute mit als Ausstellungsgelände für die Landwirtschafts- und Gartenbauausstellungen dient, war noch vor dem Zusammenbruch des Faschismus ein Lustpark des Zeitungskönigs von Leipzig, Paul Herfurth. Heute, nachdem die Herfurths an die frische Luft gesetzt wurden und unsere Regierung für die Erweiterung und Verschönerung des Parkes 7 Millionen DM aufwendete, wurde der Park zu einem wahren Volkspark. UBz: Der ehemalige Obergärtner des Herfurth'schen Parkes Guido Heine (77 Jahre) erzählt, dass der Herfurth durch seine Spekulationsgeschäfte sowie durch seine "Leipziger Neuesten Nachrichten" steinreich wurde. Guido Heine ist heute "Blumendoktor" im Park.
