For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dresden, Sowjetischer Friedhof, Sowjetisches Ehrenmal Zentralbild Löwe So-Ho- 7.11.1957 Mahnmal für die Helden der Sowjetarmee in Dresden eingeweiht Ein Ehrenmal für die Helden der Sowjetarmee wurde am Vorabend des 40. Jahrestages der Grossen Sozialistischen Oktoberrevolution auf dem sowjetischen Friedhof in Dresden feierlich eingeweiht. Das Ehrenmal zeigt die bronzene Gestalt eines jungen deutschen Arbeiters, der eine Fahne aufnimmt und erhebt. Das Ehrenmal wurde von dem Dresdner Bildhauer Dr. Johannes Rogge geschaffen.
