For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Verlegen einer Stromleitung Zentralbild Wenndorff 22.9.1958 Friedländer Grosse Wiese wird erschlossen. Vor dem Bezirk Neubrandenburg, dem grössten Agrarbezirk der DDR, steht die Aufgabe, die landwirtschaftliche Produktion bedeutend zu steigern. So wird die tierische Marktproduktion bis 1960 um 35.4% erhöht. Die Friedländer Grosse Wiese, die mit ihren Randflächen 15600 Hektar umfasst und deren 100 qkm grosser Kern hauptsächlich im Kreis Ückermünde liegt, birgt grosse Reserven zur Steigerung der tierischen und pflanzlichen Produktion. Jugendbrigaden aus allen Teilen des Bezirkes Neubrandenburg haben jetzt mit der Erschliessung dieses Gebietee begonnen und sind dabei, ein Wohnlager mit den notwendigen Wirtschaftsgebäuden zu errichten. UBz: Die Jugendbrigade des VEB Energieverteilung Neubrandenburg legt eine Stromleitung zum Lager.
