For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Geußnitz, Parteifunktionär im Gespräch mit Bauern Zentralbild Schmidt Vgt-Noa 3.6.1959 Maisaussaat im Mts-Bereich Geußnitz beendet. Die Traktoristen der MTS Geußnitz haben in der vergangenen Woche fast die Hälfte aller Feldarbeiten im Zweischichtsystem erledigt. Durch die gute Auslastung der drei sowjetischen Maislegemaschinen wurde nicht nur der Silomais zum agrotechnisch günstigsten Termin in den Boden gebracht, sondern auch die Grünmaisaussaat im Bereich beendet. In den 7 Brigaden der MTS arbeiten insgesamt 15 Genossenschaftsbauern als Schichttraktoristen, mit denen Arbeitsverträge abgeschlossen wurden. UBz: Der Sekretär für Landwirtschaft in der Kreisleitung der SED Zeitz, Kurt Klose (rechts) im Gespräch mit der Besatzung einer Maislegemaschine.
