For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Getreideernte mit Mähdreschern Zentralbild Kahl vgt-Ou 30.6.1959 Erster Schnitt im Kreisgebiet Görlitz - Mahd im Fließsystem. Am 26.6.1959 wurde im Kreisgebiet Görlitz mit dem Mähdrusch begonnen. Die Komplexbrigaden I und V der MTS Holtendorf bei der Fließsystemmahd des 7, 5 ha Wintergerstenfeldes der LPG "Völkerfreundschaft" in Görlitz. Zwei Sammelpressen folgen den Mähdreschern, so dass das abgeräumte Feld gleich geackert und mit Zwischenfrucht bestellt werden kann.
