For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Eichstädt, Reparatur eines Mähdreschers Zentralbild Martin Vgt-Nes 16.7.1959 Komplexeinsatz der Mähdrescher der MTS Eichstädt Mit 5 Mähdreschern ernten die Mähdrescherfaher der MTS Eichstädt, Kreis Oranienburg, die Getreidefelder der VEG Pinnow ab. Da für diesen Komplexeinsatz eine fahrbare Werkstatt am Feldrand bereit steht, können Reparaturen sofort ausgeführt werden. So wird von morgens 10 Uhr bis abends 20 Uhr durchgearbeitet, wobei am Tag 30 ha geschafft werden. Das Getreide wird sofot zur VEAB geliefert. UBz: Am Mähdrescher des Kollegen Manfred Staske ist der Keilriemen gerissen. Sofort ist die fahrbare Werkstatt auf dem Feld, um den Schaden zu beheben.
