For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Berlin, Planschbecken am Nordbahnhof
Zentralbild Zühlsdorf 21.8.1959 Sommerfreuden in der Großstadt Wenn die Quecksilbersäule in den letzten Tagen wieder ständig im Steigen begriffen ist, dann werden sich besonders die kleine Berliner über eine Abkühlung inmitten des Häusermeeres der Großstadt freuen. Eine gute Möglichkeit dazu besteht in dem großen Planschbecken am Nordbahnhof im Stadtbezirk Hitte, wo die Trümmer des vergangenen Krieges von vielen Aufbauhelfern abgeräumt wurden und diese Erholungsstätte entstand. UBz: Gefahrlos können sich auch die Kleinsten hier im kühlen Naß tummeln. Wie man sieht, machen sie davon regen Gebrauch. Eine herrliche Liegewiese vervollkommnet diese schöne Anlage. |
