Zentralbild Schaar 13.2.1960 Protest gegen Saharabombe. Eine Welle der Empörung und des Protestes löste die Nachricht von der Explosion der ersten französischen Atombombe in der Sahara unter den afrikanischen Studenten an der Leipziger Karl-Marx-Universität aus. UBz: Barry Seydou (rechts), ein Student aus der Mali-Föderation, wies mit erregten Worten darauf hin, dass sein Heimatort nur etwa 300 km von der Abwurfsstelle der französischen Atombombe entfernt ist, "die afrikanischen Völker brauchen keine Atombombe. Wir wollen in Frieden leben und fordern die sofortige Beendigung der Kolonialherrschaft in Afrika." |
