Zentralbild Stöhr 6.10.1960 Paul Robeson wird korrespondierendes Mitglied der Akademie der Künste Auf einer Festveranstaltung der Akademie der Künste zu Berlin wurde der bekannte amerikanische Negersänger Paul Robeson als Korrespondierendes Mitglied der Akademie aufgenommen. Die Ernennungsurkunde überreichte der Präsident der Akademie Professor Nagel. Auf dieser Festveranstaltung nehmen neben so bekannten Künstlern wie Eduard von Winterstein auch der Präsident der Volkskammer, Dr. Johannes Dieckmann, teil. UBz: Prof. Otto Nagel überreicht Paul Robeson die Ernennungsurkunde.

Berlin: Paul Robeson Named to Academy of the Arts
Zentralbild Press Agency, Photographer Stöhr - 6 October 1960. Paul Robeson becomes a Corresponding Member of the Academy of the Arts of the German Democratic Republic. At a gala event of the Academy of the Arts in Berlin, the famous American Negro singer Paul Robeson was received as a Corresponding Member. The certificate was handed to him by the president of the Academy, Professor Nagel. Participating in this gala event alongside such well-known artists as Eduard von Winterstein was the president of the People's Chamber, Dr. Johannes Dieckmann. Our picture shows Prof. Otto Nagel handing the certificate to Paul Robeson.
