For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Eckleben 24.2.1961 Eckl-Qu Schwarzheide: Chemiker und Ingenieure begegnen westdeutschen Störversuchen. Die Chemiker und Ingenieure des Synthesewerks Schwarzheide, Bezirk Cottbus, leisten umfangreiche Arbeiten, um unsere Wirtschaft störungsfrei, d.h. alle Versuche der Bonner Millitaristen, unseren Aufbau zu hemmen, zunichte zu machen. Das Verarbeitungsverfahren von chlorierten Kohlenwasserstoffen ist nun soweit ausgearbeitet, dass in absehbarer Zeit Chlorparaffine-die für die Plast- und Gummiverarbeitung als auch zur Textilausrüstung verwandt werden-in Menge und Qualität hergestellt werden, wie sie bisher aus Westdeutschland importiert wurden.
