Im Morgengrauen des 29.8.1961 donnerten 20 Mähdrescher durch die schlafende Bezirksstadt Cottbus. (Unser Bild). Sie fuhren in den Bezirk Neubrandenburg, um dort in den LPG sozialistische Hilfe zu leisten. Im Bezirk Cottbus ist die Getreideernte im großen und ganzen beendet.
