Rostock, Überseehafen, Verladearbeiter, Güterzug

Zentralbild Sturm 7.7.1962 Rostock- ein Tor der DDR zur Welt Der internationale Schiffsverkehr im Überseehafen Rostock steigt von Monat zu Monat an. Dabei wird der Hafen weiter ausgebaut; allein in den ersten Monaten 1962 wachsen 180 Hafenobjekte. Die Gebäude und die gewaltigen Krananlage dieses Siebenjahrplanprojektes erstrecken sich heute über den 6, 5 Kilometer langen Seekanal bis zur Warnemünder Reede. Sechs Schiffsliegeplätze im ersten Hafenbecken wurden bis 1961 für den Stückgut- und Massengutumschlag fertiggestellt. Kräne, 20-Tonne-Bunkerbrücken und 16-Tonnen-Stückgut-Brücke lieferte der VEB Kranbau Eberswalde (Bez. Frankfurt a.d. Oder).
