Petra Noack, Heidi Pechstein Zentralbild Kohls 16.7.1962 Heidi Pechstein schwamm deutschen Rekord Keine 24 Stunden alt wurde der deutsche Rekord, den Harriet Blank (SC Rotation Leipzig) am 15.7.1962 beim Schwimm-Länderkampf gegen Ungarn über 400 m Lagen in 5:42,2 min. aufgestellt hatte. Bei Überprüfungswettkämpfen verbesserte Heidi Pechstein (SC DHfK Leipzig) am 16.7.1962 in Piesteritz die Rekordzeit ihrer Vorgängerin auf 5:42,1 min. UBz: Petra Noack (links) gratuliert der glücklichen Heidi Pechstein.
