Festivalstimmung herrscht seit dem Wochenende in der Jugendhochschule "Wilhelm-Pieck" am Bogensee bei Berlin. Die Teilnehmer zu den VIII. Weltfestspielen in Helsinki arbeiten mit viel Begeisterung und Fleiß an einem Kulturprogramm, das sie in die Festivalstadt mitnehmen wollen. (Am 21.7.1962 haben die Berliner Gelegenheit, einige Gruppen in einem großen Programm in der Wuhlheide bewundern zu können).
