Walter Ulbricht verlieh hohe Staatsauszeichnungen.
Der Vorsitzende des Staatsrates der DDR, Walter Ulbricht, hat am 12. September 1962 in seinem Amtssitz Schloß Niederschönhausen auf Empfehlung des Präsidiums des Ministerrates 33 Persönlichkeiten des öffentlichen Lebens und Arbeiterveteranen sowie 13 Trainern, Funktionären und Schwimmsportlern der Republik hohe Auszeichnungen verliehen.

UBz: Ingrid Krämer, zweifache Europameisterin in Kunst- und Turmspringen, wurde in Anerkennung hervorragender sportlicher Leistungen und Erfolge der Vaterländische Verdienstorden in Silber verliehen.
