For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Sielow, Wartung eines Mähdreschers Zentralbild Schutt 24.7.1965 Dem ersten Einsatztag des Mähdreschers in der LPG "Frieden" in Sielow, Kreis Cottbus Land gilt der besonderen Aufmerksamkeit des Spezialisten Horst Noack (Bild links) vom Kreisbetrieb für Landtechnik in Laugsdorf. Rechts neben dem Mechaniker der Mähdrescherfahrer Josef Meyer. Hier muß gerade ein Keilriemen ausgewechselt werden. Information: Laut Absprach mit den Genossenschaften schickt der Kreisbetrieb jeweils am ersten Einsatztag des von ihnen im Winterreparaturprogramm überholten Mähdreschers ein Fahrzeug mit Landmaschinen- und Traktorenschlosser an den Einsatzort, um die ersten Stunden des Mähdreschereinsatzes auf dem Feld zu überwachen.
