For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Chemnitz, RGH Elektro-Maschinenbau Zentralbild Gahlbeck kn 3.12.1966 Neuer Handwerkerhof in Karl-Marx-Stadt Ein neuer Handwerkerhof - im Stadtzentrum erbaut - wurde am 1.12.1966 seiner Bestimmung übergeben. Auf einer Gesamtfläche von mehr als 2300 Quadratmeter erhielten 4 Produktionsgenossenschaften des Handwerks sowie die Dienstleistungskombinate "Fix" Karl-Marx-Stadt und "Bewa" Burgstädt modern eingerichtete Werkstätten und Annahmestellen. Der Handwerkerhof wurde mit einem Kostenaufwand von rund 1, 7 Millionen Mark errichtet. Unser Bild zeigt einen Teil des Handwerkerhofes, im Vordergrund die Annahmestelle und die Werkstatt der PGH "Elektro".
