Rostock, Überseehafen, Verladung von Roheisen Zentralbild Lehmann 11.8.1967 Rostock: Auf Jungfernreise-52400 Tonnen-Frachter im Überseehafen Der bisher größte Frachter, der den Rostocker Überseehafen anlief, ist der 52400-tdw-Farchter "Sheaf Tyne" aus England. Das Schiff ist 216 Meter lang und 30 Meter breit. Für die Fracht von 32000 Tonnen Roheisen werden 1200 Güterwagen mit einer Tragfähigkeit von 20 Tonnen benötigt, die das Eisen aus dem Eisenhüttenkombinat Ost in den Überseehafen transportieren. Im ersten Halbjahr 1967 wurden von den Hafenarbeitern bereits 4124000 Tonnen Güter umgeschlagen. Auf seiner Jungfernreise lädt der Frachter in Rostock 32000 Tonnen Roheisen für Japan.
