For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild Spremberg 19.2.1968 Berlin: Kühne Männer in ihrer "luftigen Kiste" auf dem Fernsehturm der Hauptstadt: Jürgen Haselberger, Kranfahrer, arbeitet bei der Montage und Funktionserprobung des Spezialkranes in 250 m Turmhöhe mit dem Leitmonteur des VEB Kirow-Werk, Heinz Weilipp (rechts), zusammen. Jürgen Haselberger wird von ihm in die komplizierte Bedienung und Wartung des Kranes eingewiesen, um nach Beendigung der Funktionserprobung den Kirow-Kran bei der Montage der Turmkugel zu bedienen. Ab April dieses Jahres sollen die einzelnen Kugelsegmente emporgehievt werden.
