For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Container Zentralbild Link 10.6.1969 Rostock-Tor zur Welt Container-Umschlag-planmäßige Erweiterung des Überssehafens Einen größeren Raum im Güterverkehr nehmen die Container-Transporte ein. Planmäßg rollen die Containerzüge der Reichsbahn aus Berlin, Karl-Marx-Stadt und Dresden zum Hafen, wo sie abgefertigt werden. Der Container-Liniendienst über See nach England hat seine Bewährungsprobe bestanden. In diesem Jahr sind Vorbereitungen im Gange, einen speziellen Hafenbereich, der ausschließlich für den Containerumschlag bestimmt ist, auszubauen.
