For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Beregnungsanlagen, Pumpen Zentralbild Koch-6.8.69 Leipzig: Wurzener LPG Nutzen Wasserreserven. Ohne die Trinkwasserversorgung zu gefährden, bewässert die LPG Nischwitz Tag und Nacht eine Wasserfläche von etwa 50 ha. Mit Hilfe einer einfachen Hebeleitung versogen Werkstaatmeister Siegfried Promm und der Schlosser Helfried Streller (r) (rechtes Bild) die Weidefläche aus dem Wurzener Kanal (Bild links.) Die LPG Dornreichenbach dagegen pumpt Wasser aus zwei Steinbrüchen auf einen 28 h - Maisschlag. Hier (Foto-Mitte) kontrolliert der Vorsitzende der LPG Dornreichenbach Helmut Rossberg die Wasserpumpe, die von einem Geräteträger vom Typ RS 09 angetrieben wird.
