For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Eisenach, Gedenkstätte "Goldener Löwe" Zentralbild Mittelstädt 7.8.69 sel. Erfurt: 100. Jahrestag der Gründung der SDAP. Im Festschmuck zeigt sich das ehemalige Eisenacher Gasthaus "Goldener Löwe" in dem am 7.August 1869 der Allgemeine sozialdemokratische Arbeiterkongreß begann. Am 6.8.1969 wurde der 75.000 Besucher in der heutigen Gedenkstätte "Eisenacher Parteitag 1969" begrüßt.Seit März 1969 weilten Besucher aus über 60 Ländern an der historischen Stätte, um sich über die Verwirklichung des geschichtlichen Auftrages der deutschen Arbeiterklasse in der DDR zu informieren.
