For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Frachter, Winter Zentralbild Sindermann 31.1.70 Rostock: Januarplan im Rostocker Überseehafen erfüllt. Die Frachter "Georg Büchner" und "Hansfeld" haben im Heimathafen Rostock festgemacht und werden für eine neue Reise ausgerüstet. Durch hervorragende Leistungen im Umschlag, auch bei strengem Frost und Schneetreiben, haben die Werktätigen des Rostocker Überseehafens am 29.1.70 den Januarplan erfüllt. Die Umschlagsleistungen lagen im ersten Monat des neuen Jahres weitaus höher als im gleichen Zeitraum des Vorjahres; für 1970 haben sich die Umschlagsarbeiter vorgenommen, neun Millionen Tonnen Frachten zu laden oder zu löschen. Das sind eine Million Tonnen mehr als 1969.
