ADN-Zentralbild: Unterwegs im Bezirk Suhl Bildserie J 0316-01-1-7 "Die örtlichen Organe haben schrittweise moderne Versorgungs- und Betreuungssysteme zu schaffen, die mit der gesellschaftlichen Entwicklung des Territoriums in Übereinstimmung stehen, komplex entwickelt werden und volkswirtschaftlich effektiv sind." (Aus dem Abschnitt V des Beschlußentwurfes des Staatsrates vom 11. Dez. 1969) Für den Bezirk Suhl, in dem auf 3.870 km² rd. 545.000 Einwohner in acht Kreisen leben, arbeiten die staatlichen Organe eine wissenschaftlich exakte Konzeption zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe aus. Danach wird aus den Handelseinrichtungen aller eigentumsformen in den nächsten Jahren ein komplexes Versorgungssystem für den Bezirk geschaffen, das die ständig wachsenden Erwartungen der Bevölkerung erfüllen sollen. Besondre Bedeutung kommt dem 1969 eröffneten Centrum-Warenhaus in der Bezirkshauptstadt zu. Durch Pionier- und Spitzenleistungen in der Handelstätigkeit werden die Mitarbeiter erreichen, daß diese moderne einrichtung des Handels wichtigstes Einkaufszentrum für den Bezirk wir.
