For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Gera, Turngruppe, Training Zentralbild Liebers 21-4-70 Gera: Frauengymnastikgruppe - Zweimal wöchentlich treffen sich 50 Geraer Mädchen und Frauen zwischen 13 und 23 Jahren zum Gymnastiktraining. Die Gruppe wurde in Vorbereitung des V. Deutschen Turn- und Sportfestes der DDR gegründet. Der "holden Weiblichkeit" machte es soviel Spaß, daß sie sich in der Zwischenzeit der Künstlerischen Gymnastik verschrieben haben. Sie treten in Sportwerbeveranstaltungen auf und gestalten Programme zu gesellschaftlichen Höhepunkten. Hier die Gruppe bei einer Reifenübung in der modernen "Erwin-Panndorf-Halle". -siehe auch Foto Nr. J 0421-23-1 N-
