For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Leipzig, Frühjahrsmesse, Elektronische Datenverarbeitung Zentralbild Kluge 15.3.71 Leipziger Frühjahrsmesse 1971. In der Halle 20 demonstriert das Werkzeugmaschinen-Kombinat "Fritz Heckert" Karl-Marx-Stadt das Prinzip "DNC-Prisma", d.h. die direkte numerische Dateneingabe für WMW-NC-Werkzeugmaschinen vom Rechner. Der ökonomische Nutzen des Prinzips besteht in der Mehrfachausnutzung des Rechners und in der Steigerung der Auslastung der Werkzeugmaschinen. "DNC-Prisma" ist das Resultat wissenschaftlich-technischer Kooperation zwischen der DDR und der VR Polen. Im Vordergrund der polnische Rechner ODRA 1204, der direkt mit dem Maschinensystem M 250 NC (im Hintergrund) gekoppelt ist.
