For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dresden, Medizinische Akademie, Ausbildung Zentralbild Häßler 29-3-71 Dresden: Ausbildung an der Medizinischen Akademie "Carl Gustav Carus"- Stationsarzt Dr. Hlam (l.) wird von den Studenten während einer Visite begleitet. Über 2000 Ärzte sind an der Medizinischen Akademie in Dresden seit ihrer Gründung im Jahre 1954 ausgebildet worden. Zum Grundstudium an verschiedene Iniversitäten der Republik delegiert, kommen die Studenten nach dem Ablegen des Physikums an die Dresdner Akademie zurück. Hier beginnt das Fachstudium der Allgemeinmedizin oder der Stomatologie. Gegenwärtig befinden sich 650 Studenten in Ausbildung.
