For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. ADN-ZB Sturm 30.12.1971 pe. Berlin: 20 Jahre Nationales Aufbauwerk. Allen fleißigen "Trümmerfrauen" Berlins wurde mit dieser 1956 aufgestellten Plastik von Prof. Fritz Cremar ein bleibendes Denkmal gesetzt. Tausende fleißiger Helfer trugen im NAW dazu bei, die Trümmer in Berlin wegzuräumen und neue Bauten zu errichten. Das Nationale Aufbauwerk gegann vor 20 Jahren, am 2.2.1952, ausgehend von einem Aufruf des ZK der SED zum Neuaufbau der Hauptstadt Berlin. Es wurde zu einer Klassenbewegung, an der sich die Nationale Front Bürger aller Klassen und Schichten beteiligten. |
