For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
ADN-ZB Katscherowski 23.3.73 Berlin: Fünf Jahre Zentrale Rettungs- und Intensivtherapieabteilung- Schwester Felicitas von Nühmann überwacht eine Dialyse-Patientin. In der Zentralen Rettungs- und Intensivtherapieabteilung (ZRI) im Städtischen Krankenhaus Berlin Friedrichshain werden jährlich mehr als 13 500 Patienten ärztlich behandelt. Genau fünf Jahre arbeitet in diesem Monat die ZRI als erste interdisziplinäre Therapieeinrichtung in der DDR: hier können Ärzte verschiedener medizinischer Fachrichtungen schnell und wirksam einen Schwerkranken versorgen.
