For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Rostock, Überseehafen, Verladung von Metallen
ADN-ZB Sindermann 19.2.74 Rostock: 250.000 Tonnen Güter mehr wollen die Werktätigen des Überseehafens in diesem Jahr an Bord oder an Land hieven. Dieses hohe Ziel wollen die Hafenarbeiter durch die Anwendung sowjetischer Erfahrungen bei der konzentrierten Abfertigung von Frachtschiffen erreichen, dazu gehörten z.B. Termintreue in der Be- und Entladung von Liniendienstschiffen. In diesem wichtigen Betrieb werden jährlich Millionen Tonnen Rohstoffe vor allem aus der UdSSR für die Volkswirtschaft der DDR umgeschlagen. Auf unserem Foto werden Metalle aus der Sowjetunion von Bord der Frachter gehievt. |
