Im Amtssitz des Staatsrates der DDR wurde am Donnerstag, dem 11.3.76, an verdiente Bürger der DDR hohe staatliche Auszeichnungen verliehen. Sie wurden von Gerald Götting, Stellvertreter des Vorsitzenden des Staatsrates, überreicht. In Anerkennung überragender Verdienste in der Arbeiterbewegung, bei der schöpferischen Anwendung des Marxismus-Leninismus und im Kampf für Frieden und Völkerfreundschaft wurden mit dem Karl-Marx-Orden geehrt: Karl Raab, Abteilungsleiter des ZK der SED, Prof. Hermann Grosse, wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter im Zentralinstitut für sozialistische Wirtschaftsführung beim ZK der SED, Prof. Dr. Lea Grundig, Mitglied des ZK der SED, freischaffende Malerin und Grafikerin, sowie Alwin Günther, Arbeiterveteran aus Suhl (1. Reihe v.r.n.l.).
