For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Leipzig, Jugendherberge, Zimmer ADN-ZB Gahlbeck 27.3.1976. Leipzig: Als wahres Schmuckhäuschen präsentiert sich die rekonstruierte Leipziger Jugendherberge "Goerge Schumann" seit Anfang März wieder den reisenden Jugendlichen aus der DDR, den befreundeten sozialistischen Ländern und aus den West- und nordeuropäischen Staaten. Zweckmäßig eingerichtete Drei bis Fünf-Bettzimmer entstanden aus den ehemals großen Schlafsalon. 25 Pfennige kostet die übernachtung für Schüler und Lehrlinge aus der DDR. In der neugestalteten Jugendherberge, die über 130 Betten verfügt, gibt es jetzt auch speziell gestaltete Klubräume wie den "Drushba" Klub und einen Raum für Diskotheken.
