For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild 1949 Louis Fürnberg, Lyriker und Epiker geb. 24.5.1909 in Iglau (Jihlava) gest. 23.6.1957 in Jena. Fürnberg war bürgerlicher Herkunft, wandte sich aber in den zwanziger Jahren der revolutionären Arbeiterbewegung zu. Seit 1954 in Weimar stellvertr. Direktor der "Nationalen Forschungs- und Gedenkstätte der Klassischen Deutschen Literatur". Nationalpreis 1956.
