For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zum Internationalen Frauentag, am 8. März 1950. Vorbildliche Landarbeiterin in Welkershausen. Auf dem Volksgut Welkershausen bei Meiningen arbeitet die Landarbeiterin Elisabeth Schulze. Trotz ihrer 51 Jahre ist sie vorbildlich in ihrer Arbeitsauffassung und ist bestrebt, durch unermüdliches Schaffen zur schnellen Steigerung des Viehbestandes beizutragen. Seit ungefähr einem Jahr betreut sie den Kuhstall auf dem Volksgut und führt daneben noch die Pflege und Fütterung der Schweine durch. Durch ihre ausgezeichnete Pflege konnte im Oktober 1949 bei elf gemolkenen Kühen ein Durchschnitt von 4,6 kg Milch und im Januar 1950 bei acht Kühen ein Melkdurchschnitt von 6,6 kg erreicht werden. Für ihre vorbildliche Arbeit wird die Landarbeiterin Elisabeth Schulze am Internationalen Frauentag mit der Aktivistennadel ausgezeichnet werden. UBz, Elisabeth Schulze beim Füttern der Schweine.
