ADN-ZB Schaar 9.5.1978 Bez. Suhl: Mit farbenfrohen, neu gestalteten Gebäuden wird sich die Theaterstadt Meiningen auch vom Äußeren her als würdiger Gastgeber zu den 17. Arbeiterfestspielen zeigen. Das Meininger Theater (Foto) - das einzige Berufstheater im Bezirk Suhl - wird mit den Inszenierungen "Penthesilea" von Kleist, der Geissler-Oper "Der zerbrochene Krug" und der "Dreigroschenoper" von Brecht-Weill die Arbeiterfestspiele mit gestalten.
