Blick von Osten über den heutigen Platz der Vereinten Nationen Richtung Mollstraße / Alexanderplatz. Ganz rechts das gestufte Wohnhochhaus von Heinz Mehlan (Sondertyp WHH-GT), und dahinter die Kurve der "Schlange", einem geschwungenen P2-Plattenbau. Die Häuser stehen heute unter Denkmalschutz (Wohnkomplex Leninplatz), entwurfen vom Kollektiv um Wilfried Stallknecht. Im Hintergrund, am Alexanderplatz, ragen die Hochhäuser des "Hotel Stadt Berlin" und des Reisbüros der DDR empor.
