For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Frachter ADN-ZB Sindermann 29.12.80 Rostock: Hochbetrieb herrscht auch an den letzten Tagen des Jahres 1980 an den Kais im Rostocker Überseehafen. Erstmals in der 20jährigen Geschichte des größten Seeumschlagplatzes der DDR wird in diesem Jahr die 15-Millionen-Tonnen-Grenze beim Güterumschlag überschritten und damit eine Million Tonnen Güter zusätzlich bewegt. Die Hafendurchlaufzeit der Frachter konnte je 1000 Tonnen Güter gerechnet von mehr als 25 Stunden auf 20, 5 Stunden gesenkt werden. - siehe auch W1229-24N-
