For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Stressenhausen, Meliorationsarbeiter im Gespräch ADN-ZB Schaar 24.6.81 Bez. Suhl: Zur intensiveren Bodennutzung tragen auch die Mitglieder der Brigade Hohmann des VEB Meliorationsbau Suhl mit ihrer Arbeit bei. Hier in Stressenhausen, Kreis Hildburghausen, entwässern sie Weideland. Auf über 1050 ha wollen die Suhler Meliorationsbauern in diesem Jahr Drainierung ausbringen. Das Anlegen von Vorflutern sowie Arbeiten für die Binnenfischerei gehören weiter zu ihren Aufgaben.
