For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Containerhafen ADN-ZB Sindermann 9.10.81 Bez. Rostock - Zum Tag der Seeverkehrswirtschaft: rund 100.000 Tonnen mehr Güter als im Vorjahr wurden im gleichen Zeitraum 1981 von den DDR-Seehäfen umgeschlagen. Allein im Rostocker Überseehafen sind es bisher 55.000 Tonnen Import- und Exportgüter mehr, die über die Kaikante gehievt wurden. Schwerpunkt in der Arbeit der Seewirtschaft ist der Außenhandel mit der UdSSR. Der gegenwärtige Warenaustausch der DDR mit der UdSSR wird zu rund 50 Prozent über die "blaue Brücke" abgewickelt. Bis 1985 soll dieser Warentransport über See um weitere 10 Prozent steigen. - siehe auch Z1009-9N und 8N.
