For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. ADN-ZB/Schindler/16.10.81/Berlin: Keine Angst, ihr Schnitzel wird nicht kleiner! Diese "Forschungsschweine" haben schließlich eine andere Perspektive. Die Miniaturschweinrasse "MINILEWE" wurde vom Bereich Tierzüchtung und Haustiergenetik der Sektion Tierproduktion und Veterinärmedizin der Humbolt-Universität speziell für medizinisch-biologische Forschungszwecke gezüchtet. Die bedeutende Verringerung von Masse und Größe gegenüber den Hausrassen (etwa 1:4) wirkt sich bei Tierversuchen günstiger aus und ermöglicht eine wirtschaftlichere Haltung und Fütterung. |
