| Description |
English: Bunker, Beal Point Beal point looks out to Goswick Sands, a large expanse of sand and mudflats exposed at low tides. The area was used by the military as a target practice area. There are warning signs suggesting that you do not pick up strange metal objects. Early in 2005 a strong storm uncovered two 500 lb bombs, and the resulting controlled detonations could be heard in Berwick upon Tweed, about 10 miles away. |
