Notes Painted panel from a lettucci (daybeds), precursors of modern-day couches, the most important elements of an Italian house, long with marriage bed, chests (cassoni), and painted panels set above the wainscoting of a room (spalliere and cornici). Acquired together with Aristotle and Phyllis (or Campaspe) by Giovanni Buonconsiglio, 80.5 x 73 cm, no. 7961.
