English: Burghley House. Burghley, near Stamford, is promoted as being "one of the largest and grandest houses of the first Elizabethan Age", and is privately owned by the Burghley House Preservation Trust. This view of the southern and western aspects of the house was taken from the end of the ha-ha ditch adjacent to the lake.
