Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Burung Kasuari termasuk jenis burung yang mempunyai ukuran tubuh sangat besar dan termasuk jenis burung yang tidak mampu terbang.

Kasuari yang termasuk binatang yang dilindungi di Indonesia dan juga sebagai fauna identitas provinsi Papua Barat terdiri atas tiga jenis .

Ketiga spesies dari Kasuari yaitu Kasuari Gelambir Tunggal dengan nama latin Casuarius unappendiculatus. Kasuari Gelambir Ganda yang memiliki nama latin Casuarius casuarius, dan juga Kasuari Kerdil (Casuarius bennetti).

Burung Kasuari termasuk burung besar yang indah menawan. Tetapi dibalik keindahan burung Kasuari mempunyai sifat yang agresif dan cenderung galak jika diganggu.

Burung bertubuh besar ini sangat galak dan pemarah dan tidak segan-segan mengejar ‘korban’ atau orang yang jadi pengganggunya. Maka dari itu, di kebun binatangpun, Kasuari tidak dibiarkan berkeliaran bebas.
