| Description |
English: Bury St Edmunds railway station The Eastern Union Railways Ipswich to Bury St Edmunds line was opened in 1846, but it was almost a year later, in November 1847, that the station was completed. It is still in regular use, with services to Ipswich, Cambridge via Newmarket and to Ely. Branches to Long Melford and Thetford were both closed in the 1960s.
