Oktober 1943 in München): Madonna im barockisierenden Stil (um 1925, 160 cm hoch) an der Grabstätte Vollmar auf dem Bonner Nordfriedhof (eine Ausführung in Marmor steht auf der Mariensäule in Gau-Algesheim); die Madonna fußt auf einem Halbmond (einem Erbteil der Göttin Artemis) in der Pose einer „Türkenmadonna“ (in der Zeit des Barocks und der Türkenkriege deutete man solche Bildwerke als Sieg des katholischen Glaubens über die „heidnischen“ Türken); Maria präsentiert sich hier als Mutter eines Weltbeherrschers (des Kindes mit dem Globus unter dem Kreuz), als Siegerin und Friedensstifterin (mit der Palme in ihrer Rechten) und als „neue Eva“ (mit einer besiegten Schlange zu ihren Füßen); von Georg Busch (aus der Künstlerfamilie Busch) stammt u.a. der Herz-Jesu-Altar in der Bonner Elisabethkirche und der Marienaltar in der Corpus-Christi-Kirche Berlin (Bezirk Pankow) |
